STANDARDS

Stories considered for publishing include:

Original works of fiction.

Horror, Halloween, thriller, suspense, creepy, and scary themes.  Gore as an aspect, not as the overall genre/theme, will be considered.

Up to about 8000 words.

Rules & Procedures

Submissions are to be typed in a word processor (desktop or cloud – send .doc or .docx for fastest review and formatting to webpage) and emailed including title, date, and brief writer bio.

Connecting with a local artist for accompanying visual is encouraged.

Stories will be featured and rotated throughout the year on the website.  Durations depend on frequency and volume of submissions.

Note to Authors & Artists

By submitting your story to Twin Ports Terror, you give us permission to feature it on our website, social media pages, and in our printed zine.  You retain ownership and publishing rights to your work.  Note that publishing your work may disqualify it for consideration with other publishers.

We do accept previously published material, as long as it doesn’t infringe upon any copyrights; by submitting you are stating that it doesn’t. All rights to a work revert to the author upon publication. By submitting your work, you are granting Twin Ports Terror the right to indefinitely promote and/or use your work in any way it sees fit. This will usually take the form of using excerpts for promotional purposes, but may extend to others. By submitting your work, you are certifying that it is your own and does not infringe on the copyrights of any other author, artist, story or work.
